It Always Passes Censors in Philadelphia

You know, sometimes I worry about civil liberties under the Bush administration. Then I remember that there’s a show on basic cable where a brother-sister team dress up in painters’ overalls and a clown costume, respectively, and stalk a woman whilst armed with garden shears, all in order to prove that their friend is a serial killer. It ain’t much, but it reassures me, somehow.
Elsewhere in tonight’s episode, I think John Yoo and David Addington would approve of the Frank Reynolds approach to interrogation: “Getting a confession is like doing a beautiful dance. A beautiful dance with a chainsaw.” That line was definitely enhanced by having watched Scarface the night before.
